M & O Visit Tallahassee

Myles had a long weekend holiday & Greg was busy with work, so I attempted a road trip with the boys to visit Papa & GG in Tallahassee. It's a 6 hour trip and the boys did great!

I chose our first stop to be a picnic in a nice park about 2 1/2 hours into the trip.
When we arrived, the park was under construction,
so it turned into a car picnic in a nice green space.

Once in Tallahassee, the boys had a blast running around the property & hanging with the 9 dogs and gazillion goats and Papa & GG!

Myles tried to wrangle Ollie so I can snap a pic of them
standing in the exact spot where Greg & I said "I do!"

Hanging with Sadie while Ollie takes a morning nap.

Happy Valentine's Day!

Myles had his first Valentine's Day at school. We made these Valentines in honor of his love of insects. I really wanted them to read "Don't Bug Me" but decided against it. ;-)

Keeping with the theme, we made separate cards for his teachers.

M & O Visit the Center for Puppetry Arts

While visiting ATL, we spent a morning at the Center for Puppetry Arts. Our original intent was to attend a kids' live puppet show about space. We were seated in the second row & well, it was a bit much for Ollie. He immediately fussed and wanted out. Myles liked it until the aliens began yelling. Then he wanted out as well. Unlike Ollie, he didn't so much "fuss" as much as turn away and make a sad face. So, we watched from the back of the theater and then moved on to what was a dream come true exhibit (for me, anyway.)

Not havin' it, y'all.

The museum featured a Jim Henson exhibit that was GREAT!

Cabin Fever

Myles' school was closed for a week due to snow. And after you play in the snow a bit and are trapped inside, ya find some stuff to pass the time. Besides the normal matchbox cars, constructions trucks, LEGOS, blocks, books...

Homemade Edible Fingerpaint...

And if you're really feeling industrious, you give Ollie his first haircut. I loved his long curls. And I didn't even mind all the "She's so beautiful" comments he received. But it was in his eyes and he was rubbing them all the time to get the hair out, so...

It Snowed

Snowy Frozen Pond

It snowed for a week. Although Myles had seen snow before, he didn't really remember. And neither Ollie nor Clayton had ever seen snow. It was quite a chilly treat for all!

Myles Gets an Ant Farm, Greg Gets a Frog

Greg has been working with all types of animals lately. Some make their way to our home. As a result, Myles now has an ant farm.

New Ant Farm

However, we do not have a frog.

That being said, this is the biggest frog I've ever seen "in real life." It can't hop. It just sorta crawls. Its girth is mainly air. It's the kind that some people lick so they can hallucinate. This frog was completely unlicked.
