We Decorate the Tree, Visit Santa & Drive Down Candy Cane Lane

We spent our first Christmas in LA since Myles was born (& only our second since moving here in 2001!) Although we were sad we weren't with other family members on the east coast, it was great having Santa visit Myles in our home & seeing his face when he walked into the living room on Christmas morning!

To get things started, we decorated our tree. Myles loved this & with each ornament, Greg would ask him, "Where should we put this one?" to which Myles would always answer, "The tree!"

Myles was very well behaved with the tree. Every morning he would walk to the tree to point out which ornaments he liked. His 2 favorites were a Beatles yellow submarine he called "Beatle" & a little guitar he aptly called "guitar."

Then we worked in a visit to see Santa. Always a hit. First, the long line, then crying on Santa's lap, then another long line to pay for a picture of crying on Santa's lap.

"Where the hell did that thing come from?"

Keeping happy while waiting...

On Christmas Eve, we took a drive down Candy Cane Ln in the valley & as usual, it was busy, slow moving, but lots of fun!

What does this look like to you?

Feliz Navidad, Y'all!

Zip-lining Santa

Myles really enjoyed all the lights. Ollie slept through the whole thing.

"Merry Christmas Y'all" Grandbabies, So Cooperative...

My mom sent Myles, Ollie & their cousin, Libby, matching shirts that read "Merry Christmas Y'all." Thought it would be great to snap a "cousin pic" while they don said attire. Baby wrangling while photographing is not an easy gig. Aunt Mollie & I were sweating by the end of it…and I'm pretty sure we didn't get a single "good pic", but rather, silly awesomeness (see below.) The pictures themselves seem to tell a tale.

Off to a good start

Everybody look at me

Ollie, what's wrong?

Oh, we're losing him...

Outta here

Heehee, I'm back

Ok, so maybe just an "Ollie & Libby" pic? They're too small to get away from us...

Tipsy

Hold me up.

Umm, you're kinda heavy

Your skin is baby soft, dude.

Leaning

Look at my bow. Look at it!

Ollie frowns, Libby seems to be ready to dance?

 Myles returned…briefly

Cheeeeks

Mayhem (this is my personal favorite pic)

Got rid of our professional backdrop
(aka Couch Blanket)

Aaaaaaaaaa!!!!!

Myles makes a photo shoot call for help
"Get me outta here."

I tried again with just the boys, but as soon as we began,
Ollie's shirt suffered a spit up mishap.

until finally...

Ollie, 3 Months

Our Ollie is 3 months old!
15.4 lbs, woo! (or whew!) His head measure in the 50th percentile. When I told Dr. Jeremy that Greg was astonished to learn that 1/2 the babies Ollie's age have heads BIGGER than his, he answered, "Tell your husband we don't measure cheeks." :-)

"I'm gonna eat this monkey!"

Coupla Hoods

We finally saw Clayton's modeling for Purina One hit the shelves!

Rainy Day

It's been raining for 3 days. Along with being entertained by stir-crazy dogs, lots of Legos, coloring & any "indoor soccer" game I can think of, I made Myles this felt tree to decorate. Thanks, Pinterest!

As well as this snowman…
