Myles Rolls Over

Myles rolled over from his back to stomach for the 1st time late yesterday (just shy of turning 20 weeks old!) As you can see, he becomes very annoyed once he's on his stomach. This does not stop him from rolling though. How silly babies tend to be.

Myles is Ready for the Game

Myles is rarely exposed to television; however, when he is, it is usually UGA football or LA Clippers basketball. Born a SmithAldridge, he must now root for the LA Clippers...and as you can see, he's ready!

Hanging on the couch with his Daddy, Myles will certainly see many a game from this vantage point.

Myles, 19 Weeks

MYLES FLYNN
19 Weeks Old
15.6lbs
26" long

At Myles's 4 month check up where he received his 2nd round of vaccines, we learned that he is in the 70th percentile for weight & 90th percentile for height. His height percentile has steadily climbed each appt. since birth. I think he began in the 50th. Not that any of that really "means" anything, but it's fun to know I guess.
Our happy boy, hanging on his quilt (courtesy of fancy quiltress - is that a term? - Alison Schmidt)

Myles & Tupelo chill on the bed while I put away laundry. This is how  I "get stuff done" - with an audience.

Myles likes to put anything he can grab into his mouth.
How's that Manhattan Baby Whoozit taste? Delicious, apparently!

Now that Myles can ride in the stroller "like a big kid", he no longer faces me. On this day, he discovered that if he just looked up, he could see me through the top of the canopy. So that's how he spent the rest of the walk.

Greg thinks this pic is "so moody", but i love it.
The moodiness is taken down a level b/c there's a monkey in the picture.

Myles, 4 Months Old

Our little Myles is 4 months old (18 weeks today, actually.) Hard to tell by the big smile on his face, but Myles had his first cold when I took the following pics. All 3 of us returned from our east coast travels with colds, but we're on the mend.

At 4 months, Myles wants to "stand" all the time. When I place him in a sitting position, he arches his back to stand. He's grown tired of the bouncer & tries to "propel" himself out of it. He is also trying to rollover from his back to his stomach. He's starting to develop keener fine motor skills and yes, he drools all the time now as everything he can grab immediately goes into his mouth.
4 Months Old! These are the same pants he wore in the 3month old pic. They were way too big a month ago, but now...

Myles likes the excersaucer now (again, b/c he gets to stand)
Myles is big enough that he can ride in the stroller without use of his carrier. He looks none too thrilled in this pic, but believe me, he likes it much more this way. After spending so many walks traveling backward and only having my face to stare at, forward is a much welcomed change for him.

My Sunshine

Myles's Christmas in Tallahassee

On Christmas day we drove from Atlanta to Tallahassee to spend time with the Aldridges. A stormy day & a long car ride proved to be like baby ambien for Myles who pretty much slept the entire 5 hours. Once in Tallahassee, my Mom (who is recovering from double knee replacement surgery), Dad & Charley were able to see how much Myles has grown & changed since visiting a week after his birth.

Myles's 1st Christmas was an east coast Christmas & so much fun for him. He spent everyday exchanging smiles with so many relatives on both sides of the family. What a lucky boy smothered in love!

Myles & his Papa

Tallahassee Santa knows Clipper fans need special attire.

Myles received a super cool bath toy!

GG, Myles & me (and Rudy too...I am squishing him.)

My parents live on about 8 acres & on these acres they have 8 dogs & 19 goats.
So of course,  Greg tried to get Myles to ride a goat.

But that goat wasn't having it.
Nothing Papa can't help with.
Myles sat at the "grown up table" for Christmas dinner!

Myles & his GG

Such a happy boy! We spent one afternoon at Maclay Gardens to see the camellias in bloom & take some pics.

I didn't get the memo on the gangsta style

...and then this happened.
As you can see, Myles is questioning why it happened as well.

Myles's Christmas in Atlanta

Myles's 1st Christmas was a hit. The first part of the trip was in Atlanta. Our holiday trip began with a long day of travel that included a ride to the FlyAway, a shuttle to the airport, ticketing, security, terminals, a long flight, baggage claim & a car ride to Aunt Holly's - Myles was a champ the entire time! We spent 5 nights in Atlanta where Myles was able to see his Grandma Lindsay again & meet his aunts, uncles & cousins for the first time.

2012, Year of the Baby.
Greg's side of the family added 4 new members in 2012, Myles being the youngest present.  Greg's cousin Erika had baby girl Kenley & Greg's sister Holly had baby boy Wyatt (cousin Ashlee had baby girl Brookelyn; however, she wasn't in ATL for the holiday.) Also pictured are Greg's cousin Jenny's two children, Erin & Eric

Greg's Aunt Michele gave us our baby shower gift - Myles's feet imprinted in clay!
Holly & James hosted a delicious Christmas Eve dinner for the family

Sarah & Erika are so excited for duck lasagna.
Uncle Jack, Jenny & Erin - ready for some game playing!

Uncle Mark hands off Myles to Mike, a guy who "has never held a baby." Nice.
