Biscuit, 36 Weeks

Got a haircut as I will not be able to do this again for quite some time.

Biscuit is 36 weeks & I'm in my 9th month of pregnancy! Weighing about 6lbs & measuring about 20" tall, Biscuit's systems are just about ready for life on the outside. "The book" says that Biscuit is taking up SO much room (true) that "eating a full size meal can be difficult" (false.)

In other news, Myles had his last week as a "Waddler" in his My Gym class. Fully ready to move up to "Gymsters", our membership is on hold as we wait for Biscuit's arrival (& I am too big to run around the gym with Myles.)

Biscuit, 35 Weeks

My brother informed me that my belly looks like the bullets on Super Mario Bros.

Biscuit is 35 weeks, about 20" & weighs about 5 1/2lbs! Now he's on the 1/2lb/week plan (which is funny considering I gained 5lbs in the last 2 weeks...must've been all those delicious cupcakes!) Now, Biscuit will stop growing in length (for the most part) & just get pudgier. Biscuit has also nicely settled into the head-down position. At my dr. appt, she let me feel the head. I asked, "How can you really tell that's the head?" and she answered, "Because ya can't squish it." Oh, that technical medical jargon.

Myles did some hanging out this week:

Hung out with CC the cat
(Uncle Charley's cat who came to visit us...she can just be left free-range like a dog!)

Hung out with this chicken
(free range chicken at the pet food store)

Hung out like a baby
(when we had baby Libby visiting)

Hung out on the coffee table.
(a big no-no...after I take a good pic)

Hung out like a boss
(in fancy lady sunglasses!)

Biscuit, 34 Weeks, Eats Many Cupcakes

Biscuit is 34 weeks, around 20'" & about 5lbs. Also, seeing as Biscuit is a boy, his testicles are now making their way down from his abdomen to his scrotum - how exciting!

In other SmithAldridge news, I turned 39 years this week. Greg brought home cupcakes for an early celebration.

Then Myles took me out for birthday breakfast...what a charming date he makes.

That night, Greg surprised me by getting a sitter & taking me out to dinner!

This week was also our Biscuit Baby Shower! Hosted by a very pregnant Marissa and a not-at-all-pregnant Aarin, we were showered with loving friends & family, yummy treats, baby gifts & happy memories!

Preggos! Marissa is a wonder woman - hosting the shower with a baby due in a few days, whew!

"I heard there are cupcakes, cookies AND cake at this party! Pregnant ladies are the best!"

Lovely Host, Aarin

Lovely Host, Marissa (& daughter Lilly!)

Yummy Treats!
There's still some of this cake in my fridge. I'm gonna go eat it as soon as I finish this blog update, y'all!
AWWWWWW!

From Cory, who just got back from an amazing Alaskan vacation!

Lilly "spots" Myles to ensure his head is bonk-free while he does some yoga.

Biscuit, 33 Weeks

Biscuit is 33 weeks, over 4 lbs. & more than 17 inches. Had a doc appt & everything looks/sounds great - blood pressure, weight, measurements & of course, Biscuit's heartbeat (such a sweet sound.) I have also officially begun to swell...well, in my feet & hands, rather. I'm not quite able to keep my feet up to prevent swelling while chasing after a busy little Myles.

Out of the highchair, into a booster!

At the table like a big boy!

Well, that's one way to search for just the right book.

Biscuit, 32 Weeks & a Birthday for Myles (of sorts)

Biscuit is 32 weeks, 3.75 lbs & about 16.7 inches long...and taking up a lot of space (as you can see.) Biscuit's really packing on the pounds now & will gain a third to half of his birth weight within the next  several weeks! Biscuit also has toenails, fingernails and hair! I wonder if Biscuit will be born with a full head of thick dark "Clark Kent" hair just like his big brother?

Myles celebrated his 100 week birthday on Saturday! When I was pregnant with him, Greg put a pregnancy app on his phone, which he later updated with Myles's birthday. Since then, Greg receives Saturday reminders alerting him to Myles's weekly age. Since we knew his 100 week bday was approaching, we thought it would be fun to celebrate...and by celebrate, I mean eat lots of dessert. Uncle Charley, Aunt Mollie & cousin Libby stopped by to eat...I mean, celebrate, as well.
100 Week Old Big Boy!

Big & Strong!
Myles got his first "licky beater" while I was making his pie.
He had no idea that life could be so tasty & fun.

Licky Beater Aftermath. He kept saying, "More Yummy? More Yummy?"

Result: Peanut Butter Pie in a Chocolate Covered Pretzel Crust

YUMMY!!!

Uncle Charley makes a good resting spot

Uncle Charley with baby Libby, already 2 months old!

Our friend Henry came over for a little visit this week as well.
I dunno why they both look so serious & exhausted.
