Lovey Head

Ollie has begun sleeping through the night (yea!) As a result, he doesn't go right back to sleep after the 5am feeding; however, no one else in the house is up yet either, so I must find a way to keep us entertained. Easy when I have a lovey. What follows is what I like to call "Ha ha, you're a baby & there's nothing you can really do about it."

Snow Day at the Zoo

Took the kiddies to the zoo. It was Ollie's first time. It was also a special "Snow Day" meaning that some enclosures had snow blown in for the animals. And thanks to Grandma Lindsay's Zoo membership gift to us, it was free!

We rode the carousel. Myles wanted to ride the tiger! ROAR!

Ollie rode (aka was propped up on) an okapi

Ollie Rolls Over, Eats Food

January's been a big month around the SmithAldridge home. Ollie started rolling over as well as eating some "real food."

For Ollie's first "real" food, we kept it Southern with some sweet potato

Ollie liked the sweet potato SO much that after each bite, he'd quickly shove his fingers into his mouth to suck the bite down, ha!

Ollie, 4 Months Old

Ollie is 4 months old & weighs 16lbs. Though he's gained weight since last month, he isn't gaining as quickly as he once was (hard to tell with cheeks like those.) Which means it's time for this Mama to start pumping. Will there ever again be a time when my boobs AREN'T out?  What were once lovely accessories that would get dolled up & draw great bar service are now mere work horses. Though it can be argued that they were once just for show, but now are serving a "real" purpose, their true calling, feeding this youngin'.

MERRY CHRISTMAS

We woke on Christmas morning to find that we'd all been good this year.
Santa stopped by during the night & left us a whole bunch of stuff, woo hoo!

Myles's ornament - a yellow Tonka cement mixer.
This has proven to be one of his favorite gifts.

Merry Christmas, Ollie!

Ooo, what is it?

A seacopter!

Myles helped Ollie open his gifts

Santa's big gift for the boys was an outdoor playset! Myles LOVES it & Ollie even swings a bit before deciding it's horrible. Within 2 days, Myles was climbing up & sliding down all by himself! As soon as I got out the camera to film, he decided that in fact, no he does NOT slide down by himself after all. Ahh, toddlers.

We hope all of you had a very Merry Christmas and a happy holiday season!

The End
