HAPPY HALLOWEEN!

Happy Triceratops, Sad Puppy

We had a great Halloween. Ever since we gave him a dinosaur reference book for his 2nd birthday, Myles has been very interested in dinosaurs! So, he was the most adorable triceratops for Halloween (courtesy of Amazon.com.) Against his will, Ollie was a lil' puppy. Maybe he is unhappy because I really had to squeeze him into that little costume.

Loves it.

Hates it.
When I showed Myles online pictures of jack-o-lanterns, he requested a spider pumpkin for us, so...

Hope y'all had a Halloween as fun as ours!

Myles Eats Sushi, Plays Air Drums

Myles tried sushi for the first time. Though he tried everything we ordered, his favorite was a standard California Roll. He also liked the "kiddie" chopsticks.

Myles loves the band Weezer. It all began with the Spike Jonze video for "Island in the Sun" which features animals from Hollywood Animals Ranch. Now, Myles listens to Weezer practically nonstop. He plays it on the ipod in his room, he requests to watch some of their videos, he knows the words to many of their songs (esp the Blue Album) and instead of reading before bed, we now sing Weezer songs (he's particularly partial to "Say It Ain't So" and "Undone - the Sweater Song") He likes to point out the guitar and drums. And now, he likes to play "air drums" we well. Making his Dad (& Rivers Cuomo) proud!

Myles & Ollie Get Ready for Halloween

rude.

Ollie makes his first trip to the Pumpkin Patch as we get ready for Halloween!

On the 18th, Greg & I celebrated our 11th wedding anniversary. We spent part of the day at the Hollywood Farmer's Market where they had a petting zoo as part of their Fall Festival.

Meanwhile, Ollie has begun to return a smile when we grin at him.

My first big outing by myself with the boys...breakfast at Humble Bee followed by some errand running. It was quite the balancing act, but we got through it! Both boys are battling colds, but they went easy on me anyway.

Ollie is 6 Weeks Old

Ollie is 6 weeks old & doing great! Getting bigger everyday (seems like he's literally growing by the hour), he's eating like a champ, rocking that tummy time & beginning to return a smile when we smile at him!

My Georgia Boys

Myles took these pics with my phone. They are of his foot via the perspective of the glass end table. Artsy

Here's another of my Myles/Ollie pics. They are both around 5 weeks old in the following pics and super sweet (aka "sleeping.")

Weather has been so nice, so we've been taking early evening walks.

Myles leads the way!

Tried my first solo errand run with both boys. It was SO lame! How have a I never noticed Target carts don't have the bottom shelf! NOTHING I needed fit. Oh well, live and learn.

Halloween Time

Myles leaned in for an Ollie kiss...

...made this face afterward! The best!

The First SmithAldridge Family Outing

We had our first full SmithAldridge family outing beginning with breakfast at our favorite local place, Humble Bee Cafe, yum!

Patiently waiting for breakfast

Finger-lickin' Mascarpone

Next, we made our way to the Granada Hills Street Faire.
That's right, "Faire" with an "e." Inexplicably.

Myles wanted to ride the pony...until he found out the creepy pony ride guy had to carry him & Greg couldn't go in with him. Then he said "no." I don't blame him.
Too little for the crazy bouncy house

Ollie slept the whole time.

Family Day Before Papa & GG Head Home

We were fortunate enough to have help with Myles & Ollie for the first 5 weeks of Ollie's life! My mom (aka GG) was here being a rock star grandmother and my dad (aka Papa) arrived for the last 5 days of the "grandparent visit!" Now that Charley & his family live in Cali as well, we had a big family day/dinner before my parents headed back to FL. We TRIED to get a good family pic...ha!

Myles being less than cooperative. His shirt says it all.

"The Rays"
(Ollie's middle name is Ray, after his wonderful Papa!)
