Myles Goes to Ellie's 5th Birthday Party

And when we arrived, it was taking place in black light...woooooo!

After black light madness, the party moved into the eating room where Ellie,
the birthday girl, took it all in stride.

Caaaaaaake!

Happy Birthday to our little Ellie-bells! We love you!

Suzanne Flies East while Greg & Myles have a Boys' Weekend

I had my 20 year high school reunion over the weekend. I flew out EARLY Friday morning & flew out early Sunday afternoon. A quick trip, but a fun one.
Anna, Marcy & me - the high school BFFs!
Souvenir for Myles

Meanwhile...Greg & Myles had quite the "Boys' Weekend!" Travel Town to see & ride the train(s), hiking & burgers at The Counter!

Travel Town

All hikes end like this

Some hiking fauna

Although it was nice to visit the ole hometown & see "old" friends,
I just couldn't stay away from this face too long!

The Clap is No Laughing Matter...

Or perhaps it is?
When Greg claps his hands, Myles finds it hysterical.
Silliness is genetic.

Star Child

I made Myles his first taste of homemade "mac & cheese" using star shaped pasta & a yummy cheesy sauce with cauliflower puree mixed in - deeeelishus! He ate it up!

Star Child

Myles has begun the goofy "Baby Suzy Crawl" - must be genetic!

We have a very nice dog.

"I'm gonna getchoo!"
"Hey, there's fur in here."

The Beach is a Place of Discovery

We went to the beach again.
Myles discovered new beach toys taste delicious...

We discovered this guy covers himself in sand & kelp to scare seagulls...

Myles discovered the pointless useless man nipple...

Myles discovered the importance of perfecting the high-5...

YEA for beach discoveries!

4th of July Weekend

To begin celebrating the 4th of July, Greg hung our flag. It was given to us by my parents after we married - it was flown over the capital on our wedding day.

Then, it was time to celebrate with the Williams's & friends for the annual "Caution Danger" neighborhood fireworks.

Myles enjoyed the fireworks just fine while wearing these baby headphones

The celebrating continued on Saturday at the Hollywood Animals Ranch BBQ where Myles & Daddy enjoyed some time in the pool.

We ate Sunday brunch at our fave spot, Humble Bee Cafe, where Myles ate his weight in pesto mozzarella omelet & then threw up his arms in victory!

And when we returned home, we saw that our plumeria bloomed...overnight!

More My Gym (& the Funniest Picture You'll Ever See)

...and here it is

A Reluctant Spider Man in Training

During "Seperation Time", Myles (in the orange stripes) crawled to the ball pit
& pulled himself up to standing (& didn't even tumble in!)

Myles, 10 Months Old

Yea, Myles is 10 months old! Although you cannot see them in this photo, he (finally) has his top 2 teeth breaking through. He still alligator crawls, but will "traditional" crawl as well. He's getting braver about pulling himself up & then letting go of furniture (always with "bonky" & "thumpy" gravity-affected results.)

June also marks the first time we left Myles with a sitter. And by sitter, I actually mean our dear friend, Aarin, who lovingly volunteered so that Greg & I could use my Mother's Day gift - tickets to see Ben Folds Five at the Greek Theater.

We also had another beach day, fun! Myles liked it even more this time (though the pics seem to prove otherwise.) He even chilled out while being dipped into the cold ass Pacific.

"Dontcha put me in that water."

Taking a family pic is hard.

Chilled out on Daddy.
